#12 - Amphora XII in Limed Oak

Amphora in our very lightly charred limed finish that has a rim subtly eroded by fire and a surface lightly touched by the flame. The piece is then subtly polished before rinsing in a lime solution and being washed. It is then coated in a UV protective Danish Oil and buffed with Renaissance wax before a thorough burnishing with a very stiff brush to create a rich textured surface. 

For the first Studio collection of the year; ’Amphorae’ inspired by ancient Grecian water vessels, we decided to play with a pared back and playful yet limited run of forms, each piece a unique iteration of our classic Amphora. We wanted to show how you can work within relatively limited parameters to create a diverse family of works that are all created within a distinct rule set.
