TERMS & CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

This website is operated and owned by Ash & Plumb Ltd, trading as Ash & Plumb ("we" or "us"). We are a limited company registered in England and Wales with company registration number 12125355. Our registered office address is Station View House, 41 Brunswick Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5WA.

In these terms and conditions:

  • “We” and “us” refers to Ash & Plumb.

  • “You” and “the customer” refers to the purchaser of the Goods from us.

  • “Contract” means the contract between us for the sale and purchase of the Goods, which incorporates these Terms & Conditions.

  • “Goods” means the items purchased by you from us.

  • “Terms” means these terms and conditions.

These Terms are the only terms and conditions on which we contract for the sale of Goods and form an integral part of the Contract between us. Any variations must be agreed in writing by our duly authorised representative and by you.


PRICES

  • Prices for Goods quoted on our website are not subject to VAT (Value Added Tax).

  • The cost of packaging and postage/carriage is shown separately and is payable in addition to the price of the Goods.

  • For special or international orders, shipping costs will be confirmed after the order is placed and must be paid before dispatch.

  • All published prices are subject to change at any time without notice.


HANDMADE PRODUCTS

  • Our products are handcrafted; therefore, we cannot guarantee that physical items will look exactly like the images on our website.

  • Minor variations in texture, colour, and grain patterns are natural and should not be considered defects but rather a hallmark of the handmade process.


ORDERING GOODS ONLINE

  • You warrant that all details provided when ordering Goods online are accurate and complete.

  • An order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. Orders are confirmed only after verification by us.

  • We reserve the right to cancel orders due to technical errors or discrepancies beyond our control.


PAYMENT TERMS

  • Full payment is required before Goods are delivered.

  • Payments are accepted via credit or debit card through our online store.

  • For commissioned works over £400, we require a 50% deposit upfront before work commences, with the balance payable upon completion.

  • For commissioned works over £1,500, payment is structured as follows:

    • 40% deposit to confirm the commission.

    • 40% midway payment once carving is complete.

    • 20% balance payment upon completion, prior to delivery.

  • Deposits for commissioned work are non-refundable once work has commenced.


DELIVERY

  • Estimated delivery dates will be provided, but we do not guarantee specific dates.

  • If your Goods arrive damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours and retain all packaging for potential claims.


RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

  • Goods are made to order and therefore cannot be returned or cancelled once an order is placed.

  • If a product is deemed faulty, refer to our Faulty Goods & Warranty section below.


RISK & OWNERSHIP

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.

  • Ownership of Goods remains with us until full payment is received.


FAULTY GOODS, WARRANTIES & LIABILITY

  • We warrant that Goods will meet the description as shown on our website.

  • If a defect appears within six months of delivery, you must notify us promptly.

  • If the defect is deemed our responsibility, we may repair or replace the Goods.

  • Liability will not exceed the total amount you paid for the Goods.


PRIVACY

  • Personal information provided during an order will not be disclosed to third parties except for the purpose of processing and delivery.


CUSTOMER DEFAULT

We reserve the right to cancel a Contract and recover any unpaid Goods if:

  • Incorrect personal details are provided.

  • Payments are cancelled or defaulted.

  • The customer becomes insolvent.

  • The customer breaches these Terms.


FORCE MAJEURE

We will not be liable if we are unable to fulfil obligations due to unforeseen events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, supply shortages).


INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  • All designs, images, and content on our site remain our intellectual property.

  • You may not copy or reproduce any materials without written permission.


DISPUTES & GOVERNING LAW

  • Disputes that cannot be settled through direct negotiation may be referred to mediation if mutually agreed.

  • All disputes will be determined under English law.


CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Please check periodically for changes.
