Patinated Oak vessel treated with lime and a touch of fire before coating with danish oil and wax and then repaired with our signature waxed cotton stitchwork.
Our Southease bowl is a tribute to the local rolling hills around our workshop in the South Downs but also references a mixture of historical forms, the spine of sorts that runs around the outside of the bowl was inspired by a prehistoric vessel found in england whist the concave base that leads to the foot references the base of several Greek and Roman works that caught our attention. A bit of a medley of ancientness if you will.
Height: 5cm
Diameter: 9cm
GBP (£160 inc VAT)
This vessel was crafted from timber framing offcuts acquired from a local sawmill, the Oak itself was from a responsibly managed woodland in Kent.
