#9 - Etruscan Vessel with Stitchwork Repair

Patinated Oak vessel treated with lime and a touch of fire before coating with danish oil and wax and then repaired with our signature waxed cotton stitchwork.

A form that takes inspiration from an Etruscan Urn we came across during our research and consequently fell in love with, this of course is our own loose interpretation of the form translated into our visual language. We’ve turned many variations of these vessels at this point, each a different proportional take on the original reference. No two are ever quite the same.

This vessel was crafted from timber framing offcuts acquired from a local sawmill, the Oak itself was from a responsibly managed woodland in Kent.
