#1 - Large Oak Cauldron with Smoke Patina and Stitch-work

A relatively large (by this collection's standards) Cauldron featuring our Smoke patina and intricate waxed cotton repair-work. A celebration of ancient form, the piece features a very curvaceous silhouette alongside a rather proud architectural collar, every part of its surface offering unique and delicate delights.

A subtle evolution on the darker patinas we've been continuously refining over the last few years. A concoction that involves deep charring, a rather labour intensive sanding and polishing process, treatment with lime and then treatment with oil and wax before a final burnishing that gives the surface a wonderful and rather mysterious depth.
