#2 - Large Oak Urn with Smoke Patina and Stitch-work

A relatively large (by this collection's standards) Urn featuring our Smoke patina and intricate waxed cotton repair-work. A celebration of historical form the piece features a highly polished surface that catches the light in a spectacular way when you move around it, the surface has an Ebony like quality to it, full of fascinating and ancient depth.

A subtle evolution on the darker patinas we've been continuously refining over the last few years. A concoction that involves deep charring, a rather labour intensive sanding and polishing process, treatment with lime and then treatment with oil and wax before a final burnishing that gives the surface a wonderful and rather mysterious depth.
