#3 - Large Oak Amphora with Smoke Patina and Architectural rim

A relatively large (by this collection's standards) Amphora featuring our Smoke patina. In this particular case we explored a different and rather architectural approach to the form's collar giving it quite a different sense of character.

A subtle evolution on the darker patinas we've been continuously refining over the last few years. A concoction that involves deep charring, a rather labour intensive sanding and polishing process, treatment with lime and then treatment with oil and wax before a final burnishing that gives the surface a wonderful and rather mysterious depth.
